GPHA Board members Inge Mitchell, Mark Mitchell & Flo Staggs, along with 16 other neighbors met at the Picnic/Dairy Barn area for the Association’s Annual Picnic/Meeting. The gathering of neighbors for the picnic started approximately at 11:30 A.M. followed by the Annual Meeting which was called to order at 12:45.
Old Business:
The Annual Meeting Minutes of 5 October 2013 were reviewed & approved.
2014 In Review:
1. Inge Mitchell gave the President’s Report noting the following:
Loss of two neighbors – Rachel Hayes & Richard Morrison
No criminal incidences since early 2013
GPHA website online containing the following information:
Shrubs/flowers planted in stone planter at entrance
Damaged edging replaced at upper Woodcroft
Pine straw laid in Commons Areas
Broken picnic tabletop replaced
Josh Nuckols, Sawgrass Lawn Care, hired to clean & pressure wash picnic area – Inge suggested quoting this service into next contract
Possible Halloween Walk to take place
Association won the Huntsville Beautification Award for the fifth year in a row
Dues were maintained at $200 per year for the eighth year in a row
Monica Hardy volunteered to perform the audit of our financials again this year
2. Mark Mitchell gave the Treasurer’s Report noting the following:
3. Inge Mitchell, temporary Secretary, asked that those homeowners that were present at the picnic/meeting to review/update the Gladstone Place Homeowner’s List.
4. Flo Staggs, Greeter/Event Coordinator, discussed ideas about generating ways to create community involvement – e.g. White Elephant Sale, brunch. Flo asked neighbors to please present ideas to her for consideration.
5. Rob Archer & Monica Hardy volunteered to run for the Board. Jim Hayes noted interest but did not commit.
The Annual Meeting adjourned at approximately 1:30 P.M.
